I've lost 12 lbs. but have now hit a brick wall.
Discouraged - yes.
Determined - I really don't have a choice. (translation = yes.)
I read somewhere a while back that brick walls are placed in front of you to be torn down. So just call me Ronald Regan because I'm determined to "tear down that wall." I'm in competition with my body and I'm determined to win.
Since I started this process I've realized that I don't like to be told I can't do something, even if I'm the one saying it. So I just keep telling myself that I will eventually give up and it motivates me to keep going. Last night the trainer at the Y told me that I would probably only be able to do 8 minutes on the stair master my first time. I proved him wrong. I did 10. It may not sound like a big deal to you but it was a small victory for me.

I did 10 minutes on the stair master this week and thought I would die, so I completely feel your pain. I haven't stepped on one since I was 18, probably. Good for you!
