I've really got to reign in the sarcastic responses to unsuspecting peoples pregnancy related questions.
them: "Are you going to have one of those water births I watched on TLC the other day? The one where you give birth in a big tub of water with lights and soothing sounds? They say it really helps the baby to be born into a calm atmosphere."
me: "You know what else I've heard helps the baby? If the mother gets an epidural so that the baby isn't born into the world among screams of torturous pain. And they don't give you epidurals during water births."
In retrospect I think a simple "No!" would have been sufficient.

Nope, I think the original comment was well worth whatever offense they took. Especially if they have given birth before :)
