Happy Birthday!

I haven't been much of a very good blogger lately and I'm not sure why. I'll try to redeem myself now. I turned 26 on Tuesday. I know its not really old but I feel like I'm getting there. Last night at my "non-surprise/surprise" birthday dinner I had 2 margaritas and today I have a hangover. That my friends, is a terrible sign of loserness. As usual, I took my camera but this is the only picture I snapped. You can see the beginning effects of my 1st margarita here...the eyes are slowly beginning to close. And I guess as an added bonus of pre-old age, I always look like I'm not wearing make up. What is that?

Anyway, other than my slow ride down the slippery slope to old age, nothing exciting to report from the Smith house. We've been painting a little and D has been working in the yard, a lot. If our hood awarded a yard of the month, I'm sure our grass alone would qualify us. Our shrubs and flowers look like crap, but our grass looks like a golf course. We did have one major exciting news item of note...We bought a new couch and chair. That's a huge accomplishment, seeing as how our taste and opinions go together like pickles and mashed potatoes. It should be here in 30 days, which is good because it will probably take us 30 days to agree on an ottoman, end tables and accent chairs.

We are leaving for a mini beach vacay tomorrow so hopefully I'll have something fun and interesting to pass along when we return. Maybe something like a shark attack or the largest jelly fish ever found, etc., etc. I'm sure there will be something along those magnificent lines to report. If not, I'll just make something up. I know I've disappointed my readers with my last few post and I'm pretty sure my followers have decreased from 4 to 1. Bff being the lone 1 reader. She is always obligated by bff code to be a reader, no matter how crappy my blog content gets, she has to suffer through it. AND speaking of BFF she gave me this fabulous birthday gift.

Our Rankin County husbands like to make fun of us and say that we are from South Jackson, even though we are really from south of South Jackson. So for my birthday she found this and It's fabulous! The Husbands love it! SoJack Pride!!!

Enough of my random rambling. Happy Thursday!
