I would greatly appreciate it if you could come to a complete stop or at the very least just slow down a bit. My baby cakes is growing up much to fast!
Sincerely,
AP's Mommy
I can't believe little Miss Priss Pot is already4 months old. She is so much fun and such a joy to be around each and every day! Before we get to the details of our 4 month visit we'll take a gander at the very few pictures that were on the camera. I know, I'm a terrible mother and don't document her life in pictures as much as I should. I'm working on being better at that.
Here is our 4 month pillow picture. I couldn't get a good smile because the flash distracts her and she gets all bug eyed. She is in the beginning stages of sitting up and still has a little gangsta lean.
you talkin to me?
Unfortunately, there was another round of shots at her 4 month appt. Luckily, they got some better band-aids. Tweety Bird and Daisy's.
She likes to flex her muscles on the changing table
This picture was supposed to show her love for TV but again, the camera flash distracted her.
She sits with her hands on her thighs like a little old man.
So enthusiastic.
Talking to Stella while hanging out with Uncle Jon on his patio before the Halloween festivities.
Here are a few things we talked about with Dr. Smith at her appointment:
- she is 24.5 in. long, so she's a whopping 2.04 feet tall. She might be a shorty like her MeMe.
- she weighed in at 14 lbs even
- Her head is 42.3 cm round - Future Rhodes Scholar
- all measurements are right on point
- we get to start feeding cereal by spoon, as evidenced in the picture above
- once she can handle that we'll move on to the baby food
- despite what everyone says about starting veggies first, he said to go with fruit
- we have yet another ear infection. That makes 2 in 2 months.
- 1 more and he'll recommend tubes. Contrary to old school belief, they do put in tubes before 1 year now
- the reason she starts to get restless around 3 a.m. is because she doesn't sleep a lot during the day
- He said the fact that she sleeps as long as she does at night is pretty much a miracle so I'm counting my blessings. The Lord knows how crabby I would be if I got any less sleep.
- We need to start doing more tummy time even thought she hates it.
- She had 2 shots and 1 oral medicine. She cried for a brief second after each shot and then went to sleep - Thank you Jesus! It would have been hard to send her back to daycare had she still been fussy
- he said her uncontrollable slobbering is due to developing salivary glands and not teeth
- overall she is an awesome little baby but we already knew that
- we go back on the 18th for a follow up on the ears and then again at 6 months for a regular check up
I thought the bullets would make my life easier but I couldn't get them to cooperate when I was backspacing and making corrections so I'm trying to deal with it.
