182 days seems like such a long time but I know that in 182 days I'll be thinking how quickly 182 days passed!!
I'm officially in the 2nd trimester! I'm praying I've seen the last of morning/noon/night sickness as I haven't been bothered by it since Christmas. I'm starting to show a little bit. However, I think majority of it is just belly fat that the ole uterus is pushing outward but somewhere under there, there is a baby so I'll just blame it on that.
Sorry for not updating on the 13th week, nothing much really happened. The baby was the size of a peach but now that we are at 14 weeks its the size of a clenched fist. Not sure how you can really know how big that is since every one's clenched fist is a different size but that's what the book says so we'll just go with that. We head back to the doctor on the 13th for another quick check up and then sometime during the first week of February we will find out the gender. The weeks kind of move faster when you have something exciting like that to look forward to.
If you've ever experienced pregnancy brain you will appreciate this next story. If you haven't, then you might find it a little stupid but pregnancy brain is real and makes you feel 100% stupid and/or crazy. New Year's Eve, after having dinner with some friends, we ventured over to The Hester's house for a little par-tay. everyone of course was hanging out by the food table and Lisa was enjoying this buffalo chicken dip that Haley had made. Lisa asked, "Where is the chicken in this dip? I keep looking for it and can't find it." To which I respond, "You can get it at Sam's or Kroger." Well obviously Lisa knew where she could purchase the chicken, she was just wondering where it was in the dip because you could taste it but you could not see it. Now that I read the story it's not so hysterical but it was pretty dang funny at the time!
Speaking of New Year's Eve dinner, we went to Ely's in Ridgeland with The Quinn's, Chappell's, and Rice's. The meal was delicious and I highly recommend it!!! It was a great way to start off the evening - nice and full and in the good company of great friends!! Afterwards, like I mentioned above, we went to the Hester's where we sat around and chit chatted, watched Travis Pastrana fly a car over a harbour in CA and then ventured out into the artic temps to watch some fireworks. It was freezing!!! So cold that I was chattering and shaking so much that I couldn't even hold a champagne glass!! Don't worry, I didn't drink any! Not that I had the chance because I was shaking so violently all the champagne spilled out and onto the ground!
I guess we'll go in reverse order of the holiday events since I started with New Years. We celebrated Christmas 5 times this year and each was amazing. One would think that Darrellanne had already made her entrance into the world from all the gifts she received. (FYI, I think I'm just going to start referring to Darrellanne as a "she" until I find out otherwise because I think it's a she so the word just flows naturally out of my mouth.) She stocked up and Mom and Dad even got a few things as well! Most importantly we got money and spent it on fabric for drapes!! Thank goodness!!! (I'll have to learn to sew in order to get them in my house, but thanks to my AWESOME MENTOR Vistra, it shouldn't be a problem! Or at least that is what I keep telling myself!) Now I won't be so paranoid that someone is watching me thru all those open windows! We had a great time hanging with all our family! I can't imagine how different next year is going to be but I'm really looking forward to it!! I know you're disappointed that there aren't any pictures of any holiday festivities but I've pretty much stopped taking my camera places because Daddy D hates taking pictures and calls me a Japanese tourist so my camera now permanently resides in my closet. Blame him!
Finally, I have a huge prayer request. Through some super secretive blog stalking (Thanks Marlee!) I came across a guy that I went to high school with whose wife is pregnant with their first little boy! Unfortunately, the little guy has some problems with his bladder where it will fill up with urine but not drain. The good news in that is that his little kidneys are functioning and producing more urine, its just a matter of getting the bladder to work so that it can release the urine and create the ever so important amniotic fluid. So she's been having to go get the baby's bladder drained every few days and they have also been running some test to try and determine what the problem is and how to fix it! Please pray for them and their sweet little baby during this really scary and uncertain time! Thanks!

Saranne, Thanks so much for the sweet comment and for the prayer request you put on your post. It is helping us to get through this knowing people are thinking about us and praying for us. Thanks again and congrats on your pregnancy too!
